Thomas Edison

The pop art color and style of this artwork will suit virtually any use of this design. If you would like to get a t shirt or other apparel with this design, click here drawn 411. I will be adding the poster and limited edition specs right here as soon as I have them available.
To wear, or display the image of this great American icon shows your values and historical respect for his accomplishments, and may also offer encouragement to aspiring inventors.

Thomas Alva Edison, American Hero: (1847 -1931)
Certainly worth honoring as a pop culture icon. His accomplishments have literally changed the way we live... and for the better. Things we now take for granted, speaking into a telephone, or a microphone for that matter, flipping a switch on the wall to light a dark room, listening to recorded music, watching movies. Without Edison's inventions or improvements on other inventions, we could be still "in the dark", with a lot of our modern technology.

Today we take the light bulb for granted, but back then, Edison only imagined a room lit with electricity...I'm sure many scoffed at his thinking, perhaps saying things like "who would want more than a coal oil lamp or candle light?"

Here are but a few of Edison's important accomplishments:
  • The Light bulb
  • Wiring, switches and transportation of electric current to the light bulb
  • Carbon telephone transmitter
  • The phonograph (recorded music)
  • The motion picture camera
  • The ticker tape machine
